Armband Tattoo Design

I have seen many armband tattoo designs in my lifetime, and I am not that old! Many times, they have been tribal, Celtic, or some significant design. Like have always said, the significance of a tattoo lies specifically with the bearer of the artwork. However, there is a bit more history that many armband presenters do not realize. Sure, it is very cool looking when you have some great, sexy biceps, but the underlying meaning have again been lost in translation.

Many people who have had even the smallest education of history, are aware of the sometimes-barbaric procedures used to thwart criminals from repeating offenses. In some countries like the Middle East and Africa, such practices are still utilized. If a man is caught and convicted of rape in the Middle East, two large rocks are used like cymbals to smash around his genitalia. Gives new meaning to The Clapper, doesn’t it? (Hmm – maybe the US should look into implementing that one. Oops, I digress.)

In the early 1700’s, the Japanese decided to rid themselves of such practices as amputation of ears, nose, and fingers, and instead adopted the idea to “mark” convicted criminals. for each offense, a ring tattoo of certain significance was etched around the offender’s arm. It was not until about 1870 that the tattooing of criminals was abolished in Japan. So, for all of those thinking about (or are already sporting one) armband tattoos, you may, once again, thank the worldwide penal facilities for the idea.

Although it seems tribal designs have overtaken the armband tattoo genre, there has been almost any character or creature imaginable that has been stretched out to entwine the upper bicep. Mystical creatures like dragons, fairies, and yes, I have seen a unicorn, make up just a few I have come across in recent years. In addition, the combinations of several subjects seem to make an even more interesting and intriguing armband. Lately, I did come across a man who had added skulls to stretched-out bones, perfecting a complex maze that – from far away – looked like the average, boring tribal armband. Up close, however, the artwork was astounding!

I look forward to my husband getting a new one. He has great interest in constructing his own armband tattoo. His tastes run to more Celtic in nature, and he would like an armband of Celtic lattice design. However, within the crevices of the latticework – just here and there – he would like faces of wolves peering through the shadows of the Celtic design. As interesting as that sounds, perhaps he will change his mind when he finds out what armbands used to symbolize. Oh, he would still get the tattoo, but it may be a more significant work of art. If anything, it could look like an average tribal from afar, but up close, you could read our wedding vows finely printed around his bicep. Can anyone say, “Ball and Chain”?

“Backpacking Tents” by Nutnfancy, Part 3

PART 3 of 3 ////////////// Sleeping under the stars is a bit overrated for me. Seems the bugs attack, the critters find you, the wind blows away your body heat, frost and condensation soak your bag, then the rain falls, and no matter what your gear gets filthy. A minimalist tent tarp, bivy, or floor-less tent are some ways to avoid to some of those hassles. But my favorite option is a quality designed and constructed lightweight backpacking tent like the ones profiled in this Nutnfancy series of videos. Here I cover most of the design aspects and experience-based opinions on just such a tent. pous, Firepower vs Mobility, Impact, Livability concerns, Longevity, Ventialtion, Maintenance, Sleeve and Pole Construction, Fabric Choices, Convenience Features, and buying sources are all covered in the series. It would be unrealistic and probably of limited use for me to review certain models since most are so shortlived in the marketplace. Instead I use category representatives and teach the features, construction, sizing, and the many considerations to arm the buyer with the knowledge to make the best purchase choice. Always buy out-of-season whenever possible to save big money; it’s very possible to get a ultra-quality BP tent this way for well under $200. Take care of it and it will serve you and your family forever too. Location was the scenic and beautiful Rocky Mountains with Allie the Mountain Dog in tow. This series was lots of work to put together, make happen, and

Knitting Designs

Cape let is most demanded design in modern times. There are different patterns of this caplet. Cape let is also called as cape or collar. If you want to knit capelet then you can design your own type of capelet by your favorite yarn, color. In this you can vary the length of the capelet or you can add the collar to any capelet and you will get the different type of it.

This pattern is hand knit capelet pattern. For this you have to knit from neck to ham down. For this purpose make use of the circular needle. if you wants the collar caplet then you can attach roll collar of about 1.5″. To design this capelet you have to measure basically three lengths which are neck opening, shoulder width and front length.

This caplet needs approximately 20 gram balls of mohair yarn in which each ball had about 90 meters of yarn. For knitting you should have minimum one circular needle which must be sufficiently long so as to hold all the stitches at the hem of the cape. For this purpose you need 16″ near the neck and around 24″ near the hem.

The main characteristic of this caplet are as follows:

While knitting you have to knit from neck to hem in down word direction with the help of circular needle. For this cape collar is optional if you want collar for your neck then attach near about 15″.Now close it tightly close with idiot cord. Stitch the ending of edge, front and border. Level front and back by short shaping near the border. The back neck must be raised with the same shaping method. According to your body or fitting you have to take proper measurements.

To give the pattern or shape to your caplet enter your stitch as well as row gauge. When you are well worth with the knitting the try for these patterns but yet this is the simplest pattern among the all.

This pattern has around 8 increased rays and about 2 shoulder darts. On back side also you have to knit around 4 decreased rays. Place around 10 stitch markers to locate the rays. For further reference label them as 1f, 2f, 3f for front side and same for back side as 2b, 1b, etc. while knitting down you have to increase about one stitch on both the sides for each stitch marker for every 6 rows.

For this just go on stitching across the unit on stitch lefts before the marker. Skipping this marker again go on stitching and continue it. For this learn to stitch odd number now increase knit from both the sides as well as purl side of the fabric. For purl the same procedure you have to repeat as mentioned above.

When your cape become sufficiently long so as to cover up your shoulder then stop it increasing further. Except this keep knitting for border side. But just before hem you have to work for the short rows so as to level back and front properly. In this pattern the back is longer than front.

After completing this short row you will complete the knitting for your capelet and your new pattern caplet is ready to use.

There has always been a creative appetite in mankind. To unfold this creativity, one could create thousands of designs which are really eye catching. One may mix and match the diverse colors of yarns available in the market and create their unique designs. These designs should move with the current fashion trends and at the same time easy to understand and create.

Bedroom Design

For something such as a bedroom design you’ll want to think long and hard about precisely what it is that you’re going to do. Sure you know that you want to redecorate your chamber but before you do anything too drastic you should decide what type of redesigning you want to do. You could literally get overwhelmed as to where to start. Just take a deap breath and move forward on your vision of the new room with it’s new look. Remember that it doesn’t need to be anything dramatic or unusual because in the end you will have live with it, and unless you’re conformable to remodel your new bedroom design and change it altogether.

In which case you can play around and find out precisely what you like at your leisure and not vex about whether the furnishings you bought would suit. But a flock of people won’t be able to do that and they will need to fall back to doing it the old fashioned way, or of course you have another option, and that’s to recourse to the use of home decorating software. Software puts most of the visualization into perspective, especially with bedroom design.

If you don’t want to go that road either you always have the choice of doing it the old fashioned way. With this method you might not get as much visualisation as with the others but you can still accomplish great results. The problem here is that sometimes it’s very difficult to see what the end outcome of your bedroom design will be like.

The best way to start is to get a pencil and a piece of paper and to mark out very close to what your room shape is. If you have trouble visualizing it then move into the bedroom and see what results you get. Next you should mark out the most visible aspects of the existing bedroom design which will be unchangeable, like doors and windows. Remember, stay objective and just pencil in what is currently existing and not what your mind might be seeing.

After that it’s a hop, skip and a jump to go on to the next step which is to play more or less on paper where you would like the heavier furnishings to go. And if you want to keep them where they are that’s also fine because your bedroom design should be one that you’re going to be pleased with. One that you feel comfortable in because after all it is you and possibly your mate that will be spending the time there.

Then ideally you should settle down on a color scheme. It doesn’t need to be the same as the one in your existing bedroom design, it might be nice if you can change the whole thing round and turn the whole room on its head. After you settle on a color scheme there is only way to go and that is forward.

Start purchasing the new trappings and fittings you’ll need to fit in with your new bedroom design and just put it into place. And since you have everything you need to change some in your old bedroom design, you can take your time and rearrange everything at your leisure. See what fits best where and whether you need to add a little something extra. Now, it’s just a matter of settling in and fetching a good look at the bedroom design that you did, and enjoying the new trappings and new fittings.

Master Bedroom Designs And Styles For Your Home

There are many different master bedroom designs and styles. As with any room, think of the ways you envision using the space and start your design from there. For example, do you want a personal retreat, a passionate boudoir, or just simply a quiet place removed from the activity of the rest of the house? Your decision will determine your master bedroom decor.

If you want a personal retreat, take your inspiration from luxury hotel suites. Here, every item for a comfortable stay is in one room. Consider having a small writing desk, a television easily viewable from bed, and a mini refrigerator. Do not let these items overwhelm the room, though. Use dark, warm colors to create a feeling of security and help relaxation. Add personal touches, such as family photos or meaningful artwork to make the space truly your own.

For a passionate bedroom, emphasize the sensual. Rich and luxurious fabrics, silky textures, or exotic patterns stimulate the senses and can set a romantic mood. Color schemes can be daring and bold, but master bedroom designs that overemphasize the exotic often can often be impersonal. Be sure to use colors and especially lighting schemes that are flattering. Wall mounted candle sconces, with carefully placed mirrors to reflect the light, can be very romantic.

Perhaps you prefer a quiet retreat away from the household where you can read a book. If so, lighting should be your first concern. While having at least two standard lamps with high wattage bulbs provides the proper lighting level, this can be too harsh for a bedroom. Consider having concentrated or spot lighting for each location where you will be reading, with softer and more uniform overall lighting for the entire room. Color for this type of room should be neutral, which aids in dispersing and softening the light.

Master bedrooms can combine some elements of all three of these styles. For example, a nook in the bedroom can be converted into an inviting reading retreat, while the bed area can emphasize the sensual. If the master bedroom is large, consider enhancing the privacy and intimacy of the bed by placement of furniture or decorative screens, to create an intimate retreat within a retreat.

Sleep and relaxation are integral functions of any bedroom, so whatever your personal style, design for comfort too. Well made beds, high quality mattresses and comfortable bedding are all investments that pay for themselves. Master bedroom designs that neglect this function ultimately will be unsatisfying. As with any design project, do not hesitate to contact a professional. There are many master bedroom interior design professionals who can examine your space and consider your personal style to create a room that will fit your needs.

Nana (7/11)

Yazawa Ai’s extremely popular manga comes to life in Nana, the exciting new film starring popular singer Nakashima Mika and Miyazaki Aoi! Released in 2005 Nana tells the story of two twenty-year-old women with the same name, but drastically different personalities. First up, there’s Osaki Nana (Nakashima Mika), a calm, cool, and collected punk rock singer who struts into Tokyo’s underground punk scene looking to hit the big time. While Nana’s got some ex-boyfriend issues that she’s eager to put behind her, she won’t allow that personal drama to interfere with her big dream. In fact, Nana’s not going to stop until she’s conquered Japan as the nation’s top rock star! The other “Nana” of the title is Komatsu Nana (TV actress Miyazaki Aoi), who is alternatively called Hachi. Cute and cheerful, Hachi led a somewhat sheltered life and has a bad habit of falling in love too quickly. She had some relationship problems in the past, but when she falls for her high school pal Junko, she decides to follow him to Tokyo when he gets admitted to an art design school. By moving to the big city, she hopes to find love and happiness in this new locale.
